You are invited to represent your museum at ‘A Time for Essex’ – a public history event hosted by Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome on Sunday 14 August 2022.
This hugely popular, multi-period Living History, Museum and Air Display event gives us the opportunity to make the most of the rich cultural history of the county.
On offer will be vintage aircraft flying (if weather permits), living history demonstrations, aircraft in hangars, and interactive exhibitions including the new Guiding the Empire and Words Without Wires. The Airmen’s Mess cafe will open for hot and cold food, drinks and cakes and the BBQ will be fired up. The shop will be open selling a wide range of gifts and souvenirs. Ticket price includes parking and access to the exhibitions.
All museums are invited to participate for free. Stow Maries offer free admission to the event for three adults representing your museum, a 3x3m pitch for you two bring a gazebo/table with a view to championing the rich heritage of Essex.
You can talk about your collections, your site, your story, your volunteer vacancies – the only stipulation is that you do not use it to raise money for your museum.
Please see the Stow Maries website for more information, a booking form, and email address for enquiries.
