SHARE is offering another round of Recovery Grants to help museums reset after the Covid pandemic, reconnect with people, and reimagine their future as vital community spaces. You can apply for a grant between £1,000 and £5,000.
Examples of activities for which grants can be used include (but not limited to):
- Developing and using collections in new ways
Digital engagement; co-curation, community engagement and commissioning; contemporary collecting; stories linked to key issues (e.g. equity and social justice or the climate crisis).
- Audience development
Destination marketing; supporting local audiences; community consultation; giving a voice to underrepresented audiences; involving more young people in museums; working with the wider cultural sector in a locality to collaborate and strengthen offers; collecting and using audience data.
- Volunteering and workforce development
New volunteering models; recruitment, training and development; health and wellbeing.
Recovery Grants are open now, and the deadline is midday on 8 September 2022. The grant pot is limited to £19,000.
