Museum Development Officer
Essex has a designated Museum Development Officer (MDO) to support museums across the county. The MDO provides information and advice and offers practical support to museums in three key areas:
- Organisational health
- Collections management
- Audience engagement
These areas can include support around governance, museum Accreditation, volunteer recruitment, income generation and fundraising, marketing, learning and conservation.
The current MDO is Sarah Sinka who can be contacted either via email on sarah.sinka@mdse.org.uk or by phone on 01603 306411.
The role sits within Museum Development South East (MDSE) managed from the Norwich Office, and Sarah is based in Essex at Colchester Museums.
